Read Your
Own Spread

You look up each card. You understand the meanings. Then you put the cards together, and you still don’t know what to say.

This guide walks you through that part: choosing a meaning that fits your question, seeing how the cards affect each other, and writing a reading you can explain.

Inside the guide

A reading, then the reasons behind it.

Every worked spread starts with a question and a situation. You see the cards, read one possible answer, then look at why it fits. When another explanation makes sense, the guide tells you what would help you choose.

A guide page with Two of Cups and The Hermit, and a reading about replying to a friend
The spread: “The reply you’ve been rewriting.”
The following guide page explaining how the Two of Cups and The Hermit fit the question
The next page: why this reading fits, and what to try.
“Read the invitation again. Answer what it actually asks: whether you’d like to meet. If you need time, say that. You don’t have to settle the whole friendship in the first message.”

From the worked example above.

The illustrated guide

64 pages. Six worked pairs and six worked trios, each followed by a page explaining the reading. The classic Rider–Waite–Smith artwork appears beside the examples.

Worksheets you can use again

Six templates across nine pages. Type into the PDF or print it. There’s room to record the question, each card’s part, your reading, and what you want to check.

An offline reader

Open the HTML file in your browser. Read the guide, write your exercise answers, and export your notes. Once downloaded, it works without an internet connection.

Start with two cards. Work up to three.

  • Choose a meaning that answers the question you asked.
  • Connect the cards when you haven’t assigned positions.
  • Handle reversals and advice cards that seem unhelpful.
  • Compare your practice readings with the answer notes.
  • Catch a reading that ignores one of the cards.
  • Try a week of practice with your own deck.

Is this for you?

If you recognize some card meanings but struggle to turn a spread into an answer, start here. You can use a physical deck or cards you’ve already drawn online.

The examples use the classic Rider–Waite–Smith deck. Other decks may tell their stories differently, so compare the pictures and meanings in your own deck.

Do I need an account?

No. Pay through Stripe, download the kit, and keep the purchase email. Its private link lets you get the files again on another device.

Is this included in Premium?

This kit is a separate $19 purchase. It doesn’t start a subscription or change your Premium plan.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. Read the PDF or open the downloaded HTML file in a browser. PDF form support varies by app; you can also print the worksheets and write by hand.

Is this a course or a reading?

It’s a self-study kit with lessons, examples, and exercises. It teaches you to work with your own cards. The examples are fictional, and the interpretations are possibilities to examine.
